Discover WHO WE ARE! We associate wine with an entertaining atmosphere that keeps an informal elegance, we offer a great variety of wines by the glass and more the 600 different wine bottles. Through the decoration, warm ambience, as well as private rooms in the basement, we create the feeling of being in a wine cellar.

Our

Chef

Kenneth Figuls is a chef with extensive experience and a long history in the world of gastronomy. He trained at the INA and the CENETUR in San José. His first job after completing his vocational training was at the Tukasa cafeteria in Cartago. He quickly developed his passion for Mediterranean cuisine, taking on the position of chef at the renowned Spanish restaurant La Masía. His first position as Executive Chef was at The Place restaurant in Turrialba, a rural experience. He decided to return to the San Jose Metropolitan Area, and took on the position of Sous Chef at La Masía. His next step was to assume responsibility as Sous Chef at Saga restaurant. He gained experience in gastronomy in beach resort areas at the Arenas del Mar, the Parador Hotel, and the Costa Verde Hotel, all located in Manuel Antonio. During the pandemic, he returned to San José and took on the position of Chef at La Alacena restaurant, specializing in traditional Spanish cuisine. He later served as Executive Chef at Bulería and Versión Original. He has been our new Executive Chef since March, and we are confident that his experience will help improve our Mediterranean-focused culinary offerings.

During the Middle Ages, the medieval halls were the meeting place to share, enjoy and celebrate every important occasion, drink and eat. At Tintos & Blancos Escazú we offer you a private room to organize your event. No rental cost, Excalibur, is a private and cozy space for you to organize tastings, birthdays, corporate events or other activities. If you want to reserve a room, contact to mail info@tyb.cr.
