Discover WHO WE ARE! We associate wine with an entertaining atmosphere that keeps an informal elegance, we offer a great variety of wines by the glass and more the 600 different wine bottles. Through the decoration, warm ambience, as well as private rooms in the basement, we create the feeling of being in a wine cellar.

Our

Chef

Andrés Vega has a Diploma in Culinary Arts from the Interamerican University. His first steps in the world of gastronomy were at the Hotel Xandari in Puerto Viejo, Limón, as Head Chef. Upon returning to San José, he assumed the position of Shift Supervisor at the Quality Inn Hotel. He continued his professional career at the Cariblue Hotel assuming the position of Head Chef. For a while he decided to dedicate to other of his passions, the teaching and training of young cooking professionals, assuming the position of Professional Cooking Career Instructor at the O'Sullivan Culinary Institute in San José. He joined the team of Tintos & Blancos in 2012 assuming the position of Sous Chef and was promoted to Executive Chef in 2014 until January 2018. The development company Las 4 A offered him the opportunity to develop a gastronomic center in Atenas (Alajuela) as Culinary Director. It was a professional challenge that we understood as an opportunity for professional growth. Once that stage was over, he assumed the position of Executive Chef at the Vino Mundo restaurant in Brasil de Mora until the end of August 2019. In September 2019, he joined the Tintos & Blancos team again, assuming the position of Executive Chef, which makes us very happy and we hope he will accompany us for a long time and allow us to enjoy his creativity.

During the Middle Ages, the medieval halls were the meeting place to share, enjoy and celebrate every important occasion, drink and eat. At Tintos & Blancos Escazú we offer you a private room to organize your event.
